As obras começaram nesta segunda (23). Além de um centro administrativo, também serão construídos centro de visitantes, alojamentos, espaços para pesquisas , entre outras instalações.
O WikiParques é um projeto da Associação O Eco, a mesma ONG e a mesma equipe responsável pela publicação do site ((o))eco, de jornalismo ambiental. O apoio para desenvolvê-lo é da Fundação Grupo Boticário de Proteção à Natureza.
